Taste: Red lentil sprouts have an earthy, slightly buttery flavour with a crunchy texture. Crisp and fresh, they’re also free of the grainy texture often found in cooked red lentils. Red lentil sprouts have a blushing pink hue, making them perfect for adding a splash of colour to your meals.
Nutrition: Red lentils are even higher in nutrition when sprouted. Rich in protein, they’re a great choice for vegans and vegetarian diets with excellent levels of vitamin A, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, potassium, iron and phosphorus. Try substituting 80g of freshly-sprouted red lentils for one tin of lentils in your next recipe.
Source: Our red lentil seeds are sourced from Australia.
Growing time: 3-4 days.
Our seed bags are made from a natural woven blend of cotton and muslin. For longer shelf life please store your seeds in an airtight container.
