About us

Family owned. Australian grown. Sydney Sprouts.

From small seeds, big things grow.

The Sydney Sprouts story began with a humble plot of farmland on the outskirts of western Sydney in 1985. In the decades since, we’ve become one of Australia’s favourite producers of freshly-grown sprouts and microgreens, together with an ever-growing range of salad seeds, croutons and delicious toppings to add to your soups, salads and meals.

More recently, we’ve ventured into producing Australia’s finest selection of grow-it-yourself sprouting seeds and kits. Perfect for families, our premium range of sprouting seeds are quality tested and 100% guaranteed. With something for every taste – from alfalfa and broccoli, to sunflowers and lentils – they’re delicious, nutritious and oh-so-easy. They’re also exactly the same seeds we use on the farm to grow our retail sprouts for supermarkets, independent grocers and deli’s.

Quality first.

Sydney Sprouts is 100% Australian owned and family operated. We’re passionate about what we do and our entire range is still naturally grown in western Sydney using premium quality sprouting seeds. Unlike mass-produced packaged sprouts, all of our sprouts are individually-grown in their own punnets too. Our baby sproutlings are hand-planted and left to grow on their own until they’re ready to be delivered fresh to local markets every day. In fact, our sprouts continue to grow in their punnets until they’re eaten - so we really mean it when we say our sprouts are fresh!

Sustainable packaging.

As a responsible primary producer, we’re always looking to reduce our carbon footprint. One of the ways we do this is with packaging that’s designed to be as compact as possible, without compromising on the volume. We’re a business of passionate recyclers and use recycled plastics wherever we can. Since 2020, all of our sprout and microgreens punnets are made from 50% recycled materials.
